DEAF DOGS ESSEX
“Deaf dogs can do anything hearing dogs can do except hear”
There are more deaf dogs than you might imagine, enjoying life just as hearing dogs do. Sadly more puppies that are born deaf are euthanised but a deaf dog is not significantly disabled, they still have their fine nose and eyes which to a dog are far more important faculties than hearing.

“Having a deaf dog is literal proof of actions speak louder than words”
When a deaf dog misbehaves usually it is not because they are aggressive or disobedient. Generally it is because its owner is unaware of the best way in which to communicate with and handle their dog.
Here at Chelmsford & Margaretting Dog training & Puppy School we have a master trainer and a couple of instructors that are Guild affiliated that will guide owners sympathetically through the stages for deaf and hard of hearing dogs. Not only to accept their loyal companions for what they are but also explain how with love, compassion and careful thought they and their dog can have fun and get the most out of life. This will establish an even closer bond as they help each other find new or adapted ways to live together.
